  2. Uniform & Handbook
    • Get the official Cub Scout Handbook for your Scout’s grade level.

  3. Stay Connected
  4. Health Forms
    • Every youth and adult participant needs a current BSA Health Form (Parts A & B) for any trip, campout, or day camp. Forms are good for 1 year.
    • Submit to your Den Leader.
  5. Safe Guarding Youth Training
    • All adults attending overnight events or trips must complete Safe Guarding Youth Training (SYT). It’s valid for 1 year.
    • How to Take SYT
  6. “How to Protect Your Children” Pamphlet
    • Read the abuse prevention guide in the front of your Scout’s Handbook with your Scout.
    • Sign the last page and turn it in to your Den Leader—it counts toward rank advancement.
  7. Get Involved
    • Fill out the Family Talent Survey and return it to your Den Leader. We’re 100% volunteer-run, and your time and talents matter!
    • Consider becoming a Den Leader or joining the Pack Committee—your involvement shapes your Scout’s experience.
  8. Recruit a Friend
    • Scouting is more fun with friends! Any K–5 child can join Cub Scouts anytime.
    • If your Scout recruits a friend, they’ll earn a special “Recruiter” patch and recognition at the next Pack meeting.
